FIRST AID TRAINING 

2 Day Level 3 Paediatric First Aid 

This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to become a paediatric first-aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. 
 
These include the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first-aider, be able to provide first aid for an infant or a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally, be able to provide first aid for an infant or a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction, be able to administer first aid to an infant or a child with head and spinal injuries, how to administer first aid to an infant or a child who has sustained an electric shock and how to complete records relating to illnesses, injuries and emergencies. 
This course can be delivered at your place of business or a venue of your choosing for groups of up to 12 delegates 
 
Who is this qualification for? 
 
This qualification is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in the industry and it meets the requirements for paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014. 
 
Where and When? 
 
The course can be delivered at your venue on a date suitable to your needs. We could source a suitable venue on your behalf and also run several open courses at our own venues. 
 
Assessment method 
 
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning. There is no final exam 
 
Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years. Under current guidelines it is recommended that all First Aid Training is refreshed and updated annually.

2 Days (12 hours) of tutor led learning.

Administering first aid to an infant and a child with conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose 
Administering emergency first aid to an infant and a child with a chronic medical condition or sudden illness 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child who is experiencing the effects of extreme heat or cold 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child who has sustained an electric shock 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child with burns or scalds 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child who has been poisoned 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child who has been bitten or stung 
Administering first aid to an infant and a child with minor injuries
