FIRST AID TRAINING
1 Day Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid
The qualification is designed for learners such as parents and relatives, pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers, childminders and nannies, au pairs and foster parents, or those responsible for caring for infants and children who are not required to have an Ofsted/EYFS qualification, but want to learn about emergency paediatric first aid. This course can be delivered at your place of business or a venue of your choosing for groups of up to 12 delegates from £510
Who is this qualification for?
This course is designed for those learners wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid.
Learners will become familiar with the role of the paediatric first-aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation, such as a child or an infant who is unresponsive, has an airway obstruction, has breathing difficulties or is suffering from shock or anaphylaxis.
Where and When?
The course can be delivered at your venue on a date suitable to your needs. We could source a suitable venue on your behalf and also run several open courses at our own venues.
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning. There is no final exam
Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years.
Under current guidelines it is recommended that all First Aid Training is refreshed and updated annually.

1 Days (6 hours) of tutor led learning.
The role and responsibilities of the paediatric first-aider
Assessing an emergency situation safely
Providing first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
Providing first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
Providing first aid for an infant and a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction
Providing first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding
Providing first aid to an infant and a child who is suffering from shock
Providing first aid to an infant and a child with anaphylaxis
Safe use of an AED
